Schooling Mental Health Practices

A steady increase in difficulties of a psychological nature faced by school children today makes it imperative to ensure their psychosocial well-being. Made possible through active collaboration between schools and mental health practitioners, the need of the hour is to make sure that we identify and intervene when problems arise.

As part of our Psychiatry Support Programme for Schools, we assist school coordinators, counsellors and teachers in helping them implement appropriate behaviour management techniques in the school setting. The aim the same initiative is to work on a child’s strengths, improve his or her social behavior and integrate the importance of school safety and to make learning pleasurable for every child.
